9/30/04 – Comm-Group, Inc. is awarded a new contract with the Veterans Administration.

Chevy Chase, MD, September 30, 2004 – Comm Group, Inc., an information technology consulting firm based in Chevy Chase, MD, today announced that the firm was awarded a multi-year, 8(a) contract with the Veterans Administration (VA). The new contract will support the VA’s Peripheral Equipment Operation and Information Technology (IT) Support Center located in Hines, IL.

“Comm-Group™ is very proud to announce that Lockheed Martin Information Technology (LMIT) will serve as its subcontractor in this effort. Together Comm-Group™ and Lockheed Martin will provide onsite operations support to the VA Hines facility in Illinois. We are very happy about being awarded this new contract and we look forward to working with the VA and LMIT,” stated Linwood C. The VA Hines facility is responsible for processing and maintaining compensation, pension and education payments for approximately four million veterans and their dependents, in addition to providing online IT services to 58 regional offices, VA Medical Centers and a Federal Records Center.
